"The property was a perfect fit for two families with 7 people. The kids get to have their own room, and the two families have separation of space, yet easy to get together via indoor access. It's also situated in a quiet neighborhood at a convenient location, close to downtown, restaurants, and attractions. The property also has good views outside the windows."

We couldn't get the range hood to work. If you plan to do heavy cooking, you may need to open the windows to vent out the smell and smoke. The shower glass on the second floor is too short to block the water from splashing out. The tub can be slippery when it is wet, so it would be nice if the host could consider providing a rubber mat.

"The place was clean, at a nice location, walk to the beach. The staff was also amazing especially Salum the caretaker who was quick to respond. The owner is also amazing. They also offered recommendations on what's good close by."

Location was far from the main tourist centers in Nungwi and stone town. Suggest getting a car if you are there - lucky we had one. Otherwise great stay!

"The appartment is very clean and well organised. The WiFi quality was also good and you have a beautiful view on the sea. They even give you access to a netflix account so you can relax in front of the TV."

The fact that I had to spend only one day there😀. The appartment was already booked for the next day so I could not extend my stay.

Tranquilo y sosegado para quien ame la paz y la belleza de un entorno ya de por sí relajante. Excepcionalmente atentos los hospedadores, y con un staff muy amable y pendiente de las necesidades de los huéspedes. Habitaciones cómodas y comfortables con estupendas vistas. Agua caliente con buena presión. Algunas de las habitaciones son pintorescas, por un estilo rústico y eco tipo cueva, o estilo observatorios de aves. Piscina. Restaurante, con un desayuno suficientemente variado y completo con mi favorita fruta matinal (10$) y una carta o menú de comidas aceptable en variedad. Mi lugar favorito para futuras estancias en Kampala. Para no perderse la oportunidad de disfrutarlo"

Los ruídos ( temporales) producto de una construcción vecina recién iniciada pueden romper la paz y armonía, si bien permiten un buen descanso en la franja horaria nocturna, y las propias edificaciones del lugar aislan un tanto del sonido de la calle y trabajos de la obra, y en la áreas de naturaleza a disfrutar, no alcanzan a molestar. Algunas de las habitaciones en planta baja (ground) pueden resultar un poco húmedas y frías en temporada de lluvias. Alguna alternativa más en los menus del restaurante serían deseables.

"A very nice and well equipped apartment on the 8th floor. The young lady who represented the owners was very helpful and nice about everything. The lady who was responsible for cleaning did a superb job."

As I have a problem with a leg I wrote the owners beforehand to be assured that access to the apartment was easy and was informed that it was, however, when we arrived it turned out that we first had to access one building and take a lift four floors and then walk a bit to access the building with the apartment. It should also be mentioned that there was a problem with the lock on the door leading out to the street, and it was often difficult to open from the outside. For the first three nights we were assigned an other apartment one floor below that was not up to standard at all. We were, however granted a discount for the inconvenience. We had not been informed about this beforehand. The television in the apartment did not work, and was not fixed during our stay. The apartment was on the eight floor and there was no sign for emergency exit on the floor. The owners lived in Italy and all contact with them was through the young lady representing them in Mindelo.

"La ubicación es excelente en un área tranquila, con restaurantes, mercados, pubs, etc. Además se encuentra a 300 m del terminal de Bugibba, que te permite llegar fácilmente a distintos puntos de la isla. Los utensilios de cocina te permite preparar un desayuno simple, nada sofisticado."

Nada negativo en particular, lo único que destacaría era problemas con el herraje del WC, que en algunas ocasiones no bajaba bien la descarga del tanque por medio de la palanca.

"We loved the view from our eco friendly and very well appointed self contained place - we could see the sea and were surrounded by trees, flowering plants and birds. We liked being a short walk downhill to the village of Castara with grocery shops, places to eat local food and entertainment. Bars on the beach were very friendly. We loved getting a boat to nearby coves and snorkelling. Paradise for us!"

The fairly stiff walk back from the village is fine as long as you don't rush. The Castara Retreats Restaurant serves lovely fresh fish caught locally but wine as you might expect is eye wateringly expensive. Try Stag beer instead and even that is twice as expensive as in the village.

"El hombre se mostró super atento a nosotros. Muy detallista y nos cuidó mucho. Fue un placer quedarnos en su alojamiento. Nos hizo la estancia muy fácil. Recomiendo además cenar con él en el restaurante de abajo. Tiene variedad y el trato es inmejorable. ¡Hasta la próxima y gracias!"

A bit of coordination initially to get to the property due to the road, but the owner was wonderful at making it easy, and other taxis had no problem getting there after my initial attempt.

On my last sleep of the week I was disturbed by the above resident, moving furniture and banging in the early hours of my departure day. Also just before 3am, being woken up by my TV having it on a different channel to what I had when I turned it off before going to bed believing someone had trespassed into the property and the thought of my belongings being stolen.
