"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"

"Simple and wonderfully personal. Great little cottage with stunning views of the Atiu forests and genuinely friendly help from the proprietor. Everything worked like it should. Great stay, sad to leave."

"El servicio es amabilísimo, la ubicación inmejorable, es un lugar increíble. Alquilamos una canoa por 10 euros 2 horas y fue una experiencia muy agradable. La cabaña más económica es absolutamente suficiente, aunque hay que tener en cuenta que el equipamiento puede no ser el que necesitas."

El hornillo y los electrodomésticos eran bastante antiguos, para nosotros suficientes pero podrían no serlo para otros. La cama podría ser algo más cómoda, aunque no puedo pedir más por el precio que tiene.

"Чудове місце для відпочинку сімʼєю. Дуже задоволені. Було дуже затишно і комфортно. Велика територія біля котеджа – є все необхідне для барбекю, альтанки і качелі для дітей. Відпочивали взимку, але в приміщенні було дуже тепло. Є санвузли у кожній спальні, що дуже зручно. Окреме спасибі пані Олі, адміністратору котеджа. Турбувалася про нас, щоб ми почувалися максимально комфортно. Плануємо повернутися сюди влітку 🙂"

Трошки замалий холодильник. Було б добре, щоб він був трохи більшим і мав трохи більшу морозильну камеру. Також не зайвими були б ще кілька кастрюль та великі миски.

"Este sitio fue lo mejor de viajar a Laos. Pasamos dos días de paz, rodeados de belleza, naturaleza y personas maravillosas. La historia de su dueño y de las niñas y niños que viven allí fue muy conmovedora para mí. La cabaña era preciosa, el desayuno era increíble."

"The room was incredibly comfortable and clean. It was very quiet and we felt like home. New AC, clean and well attained. The surroundings are excellent as well as the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet. Accessibility was good. It is a little far from the city but there is a bus stop about five minutes from the property where the Airport bus stops. A rental vehicle would be recommended. We knew that and the remote location was very soothing for us."

The outside property had some very minor issues; it felt a bit barren and the pool could‘ve been better maintained. We would have liked simple room cleaning very days without having to ask for it because it made us feel a bit uncomfortable to request it. Plus, to avoid all these plastic bottles, we would have appreciated a shared water filter station at the property.

La subida para llegar hasta el alojamiento es muy pronunciada y estrecha pero nada dramático, es muy habitual en la zona que pase esto. Imprescindible llegar en coche.

"El sitio es espectacular, muy agradable, bonito, tranquilo, bien cuidado....increíble!!precio-calidad inmejorable y el personal muy atento, amable y dispuesto a ayudar! El desayuno de 10, muy bueno y abundante! Sin lugar a dudas es el mejor hotel donde he estado nunca! 100% recomendable!!"

"Buena ubicación con vistas a la playa de Kabak. Recomendable ir en coche, ya que caminando a la playa hay un buen paseo, y con el calor del verano no es lo más recomendable. Habitaciones tipo cabaña con pequeño balconcito con vistas a la bahía. Cama cómoda, aire acondicionado. Desayuno completo tipo buffet."

La cena tipo buffet estaba incluida con horario de 19:30 a 21h. Llegamos a las 20:15h y ya no quedaba a penas comida, pero el dueño del hotel fue muy amable y enseguida pidió que nos preparasen algo para poder cenar.

"La ubicación en un acantilado, al lado de la Boca del Infierno, se están oyendo las olas continuamente. las vistas son excelentes, principalmente a la salida del sol. El desayuno fue excelente. El personal muy amable"

Qué al llegar de noche, casi no se veía el cartel del hotel.

"El hotel muy agradable, habitación amplia, buenas vistas y muy limpio. Estaba preocupada por las reseñas, pero no hubo ningún inconveniente, máxime si sabes dónde tienes que hacer el check in y los lugares cerrados fuera de temporada. Con mucha fauna a los alrededores."

"Everything. In summer, when the site is full of campers, the view from the cabin would be obscured by tents. But, end of September, when we visited, our view was green lawns sloping down to the river. Lovely."

Booking.com told us it was 7 miles from Vianden. It is not. 22-24 depending which route you choose. We had planned to go the 7 miles back to Vianden for dinner, but 22 winding miles? No.

"Very close to the beach was clean but shower curtain was always in a way it’s a bit small leaking Bedding was clean however mattresses very well used couldn’t wait to go home tv very small not enough to put clothes space like wardrobe too small could be improved not much to do for small kids outside however good points staff very nice administrative staff kind lady thank you to her also it’s brilliant location near the beach if i need to stay there again I would because of location however please improve your showers tv and mattresses thank you Laura"

"Beautiful surroundings, so calm. The host is incredibly helpful and kind. This refuge is his personal project, and you can see his passion. The surrounding villages are small but lovely to walk through. There are nice hikes possible, including to the peak of Mount Agou, the people on the paths will kindly guide you to your destination. They are truly kind."

The location on the map is slightly off, ask for a pin before you arrive to make sure you find the right place!

"Rústico, durante la semana tranquilo, dentro de las cabañas te sientes bien. Se puede traer el coche muy cerca de la cabaña. Tiene terraza, se puede comer en la terraza."

Al lado de las cabañas hay unos sitios especiales para celebrar fiestas como cumpleaños por ejemplo, y durante el fin de semana estuvieron celebrando hasta tarde con música bastante alta y al estar tan cerca se escucha mucho. Por los alrededores no hay mucho que hacer al no ser zona muy turística.

"I stayed at Little Garden House and found it to be a charming and comfortable place, especially suitable for cyclists or other travelers looking for a peaceful stop. The location was a bit tricky to find at first, but once there, everything went smoothly. The host was very friendly and welcoming. She gave a helpful introduction to the facilities, including the cabin itself, the kitchen, and the shower area. The small cabin was cozy and pleasant, and the kitchen and sauna/shower located in an old outbuilding were also perfectly adequate for my needs. Overall, a nice and practical accommodation option in a quiet setting."

"A little gem of a hotel in a most beautiful location. The staff give an extremely warm reception, they are super friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what can be done…..if they didn’t know, they knew someone who does. For example, they arranged a night watching the turtles and a guide to walk some local waterfalls. The food was out of this world, fresh and local produce cooked by chefs who’ve been cooking their whole life."
