"The Mango Leaf was no ordinary stay. We got the friendliest of the host with great people to talk to. Guided us to the nearby attractions in the smartest possible way and helped us enjoy the property to the fullest. Dr. Buultjens also guided us on some of the basics of Ayurveda therapy. And shared their food with us, which was simple and delicious. They also helped us to get the buses to Ella in time and helped with our trip itinerary after the stay. I would highly recommend this stay, though it is modest, the friendly hosts will definitely make it worth your time and effort. :)"

"It's a nice place to unwind. A quiet spot. The hosts are very kind. Yes, the size of the family room we reserved is ideal for three people. The beds are modern, tidy, and comfortable. Additionally, the bathroom is odor-free and clean. You can have a hot water shower. We are provided with complimentary morning tea and pastries. 500m walk to the beach."

"Very spacious & clean rooms with cupboards to store your belongings, a modern type restroom and a very comfortable bed. The rooms are situated in a cozy & green backyard and secured by a gate and 2 dogs. To the beach is just 10 mins by foot. The whole area is very local and people are friendly towards foreigners, so were the hosts. The place is ran by a mother and her son, both extremely helpful and easygoing. They speak a decent English and have a natural welcoming personality. I felt super comfortable during my stay and appreciated their support since I caught a cold beforehand and had to recover. I can totally recommend this place. Thanks a lot for your hospitality guys 🙏"

"Keyt était aux petits soins pour nous. Il a tout fait pour que notre séjour se passe le mieux possible. L'endroit est très joli, les lits confortables, et pas loin du centre de Polhena et même de madiha. Je remercie encore Keyt qui nous a vraiment aidé pendant notre séjour."

"Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse de nos hôtes, leur sourire et leur disponibilité. Le cadre était agréable, la chambre était très propre. Nous avons pu bénéficier d'un petit-déjeuner chaque matin sans supplément de prix. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est vraiment super, à quelques centaines de mètres de Polhena beach. Nous remercions chaleureusement Keyt et sa maman."

"Estuvimos muy a gusto en la casa. Es una familia agradable y tranquila. Nos dieron te de recibimiento y un zumo (el mejor que he tomado desde que estoy aquí) por la mañana antes de irnos! Tienen agua caliente y la habitación tiene dos amplias camas, una de ellas con mosquitera, aunque no vimos apenas mosquitos. El ventilador hace un poco de ruido y un AC que la verdad no pusimos porque la temperatura era agradable. Cerca de la casa hay una cascada que visitamos (Ellewalla) que mereció mucho la pena. El trayecto es precioso, un embalse con árboles hundidos y después de un paseito llegas a la cascada, donde no había nadie."

"Perfect family getaway at Padmi Villa! We travelled to Weligama, Sri Lanka with our teenager in February 2025 and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The second floor was exclusively for our family, and the space was perfect. The location is fantastic, and the host family were invaluable in helping us discover the best local spots. They were incredibly responsive and always willing to help with any questions. The villa is well-equipped, and the kitchen made it easy to prepare our own meals. We were even treated to delicious traditional food on our last day! We highly recommend Padmi Villa to families looking for a comfortable and authentic stay"
