Dambulla Tree House

"Una experiencia distinta y muy divertida. La familia que lleva este proyecto es super amable, tienen mucho detalles. Nos adelantaron el desayuno para que pudiéramos salir a tiempo para la excursión y nos prepararon unos platos típicos muy ricos. De hecho la madre de familia organiza unos cursos de cocina....una pena no haberlo sabido antes que nos hubiéramos apuntado!"

"Espectacular!! La casa tiene todas las comodidades, increíble experiencia poder dormir entre las copas de los árboles, rodeada de pájaros, ardillas, ardillas gigantes, corzos... Si tienes suerte, puedes ver hasta loris!! La familia es muy acogedora, me cuidaron y trataron muy muy muy bien!! Tuve la suerte de poder ir con ellos a su terreno, donde Pradeepika imparte clases de cocina. Es una excelente cocinera, los desayunos y las cenas deliciosos!! Auténtica comida de Sri Lanka hecha con mucho amor. Si quieres ir de safari, también es posible con ellos. Definitivamente la mejor experiencia en Sri Lanka, espero poder volver pronto!! "We had an amazing stay at Dambulla Tree House. It was such a unique experience staying in a tree house surrounded by beautiful nature—it truly made our trip unforgettable. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, and their delicious home-cooked breakfasts were a real highlight of our time in Sri Lanka. They also went above and beyond by helping us arrange an elephant safari, which was an incredible experience. We highly recommend staying here!"

"Thank you Pradeepika (and family) for this incredible experience - memories we will carry forever. We are so happy we stayed with you, though we wish it could have been for even longer. It felt so personal, and we were so well taken care of from the first moment until the very last goodbye. The tree house was both beautiful and comfortable and sleeping with the sounds of the birds and the animals while up in the trees was incredibly relaxing. I can’t thank you enough for arranging the delicious breakfasts, going out of you way to make us kola kenda, and the cooking demonstration dinner was one of our favourite meals in Sri Lanka. You have such a wonderful and generous family, and I wish everyone can have the pleasure of staying with you guys."

"This was the highlight of our Sri Lanka stay. What a wonderful family!! Pradipita and Mishanoa were so kind and generous, they did so much to help and not only was the treehouse a wonderful experience, so was meeting them and spending time with them and their daughter. The food was outstanding and we had a great cooking class with them as well as a trip to Hurulu Eco Park. There are less tourists in Dambulla than in Sigiriya but a TukTuk will easily get you anywhere and infact Pradipita and Mishanoa sorted out a tuk tuk at really short notice to pick us up at 4am so we could climb Sigiriya rock for sunrise and even got up to check it arrived!! We initially had reservations about staying in a tree house with no windows, but was actually a great experience, with a visit by a squirrel the most dangerous wildlife we encountered. We had the most amazing welcome and we would not hesitate to go back."

"Everything was perfect! The Dambulla Treehouse was a highlight of our vacation. Inside the cabana we felt at ease falling asleep to the sound of the birds. Our hosts were very kind and always helpful. It was also extremely pleasant and enriching to exchange with them. A special mention goes to the breakfast which was authentic and freshly prepared every morning. Honestly, if you are in the area, it is a place we would whole heartily recommend to stay at."

"This was such a unique experience. The room is set high among the trees and was very peaceful. The hosts are extremely kind and attentive. They make you feel part of the family and will do their best to meet any requests. The food was delicious and plentiful. The hammock was a nice place to relax and reflect on the adventures of the day. I would highly recommend this place."

"The stairs to the room need some repairs to give a better feeling of safety. The shower wasn't warm enough for me."

"This is the first time for us to stay in a tree house. This place was very nice, with privacy and close to nature. We felt immersed in the forest with lots of wildlife around. This is a very comfortable place to escape from the city. The environment was clean, very functional, with a hot water shower, an electric fan and hair dryer. The host decorated the room nicely with flowers, welcoming drinks and amenities. The room has no a/c but was very airy. It comes with a mosquito net so we slept comfortably. At night we saw some fireflies as well! And the most important thing is that the host and her family were so nice and took care of us very well. They offered a lot of help to our transport and planning. Breakfast was included and dinner can be requested too (extra charges, reasonable and affordable price). Don't miss the Sri Lankan food they cooked! This is a really nice place to stay especially if you want to have some interaction with local people. Thank you so much. ♥️"

"It wa great sleeping in a comfortable tree house and being able to experience nature. The food was exceptional and prepared by the very knowledgeable host, who explained the ingredients and what they were good for. The hosts couldn't do enough to make my stay exceptional."
