"I've noticed the attention to detail has dropped since the change in the manager (Colin). The staff seem to be okay but mostly its the following examples that are small but make a difference: - no lotion in rooms (its a dry fall and winter coming up and this should be an absolute minimum) - adding a bottle of water available for guests should also be a standard - my shower head was nearly falling off - I am 6'1 and the shower head was lower than that - I can't propoerly stand underneath the shower! - There used to be mixed fruit with the breakfasts! now its just oranges and apples. Myself and my employees always enjoyed this and sad now that the hotel is trying to save costs that are small but actually people notice. please bring this back... - also there are no coffee sleaves for people taking coffee to go! very uncomfortable and inconvenient! please bring this very cheap addition back - MY employee also said he found a used soap in his washroom... Its the small things that don't cost a lot but go a long way or people notice! this is a crossroad to pick up the slack and remain a great option for travellers in the north or cheap out and cut corners and become a sad story."

"The staff was amazing, the value for the cost was excellent, the room I had I absolutely loved, from the finishing, cabinet/desk style and the accent wall behind the bed all looked phenomenal. The bathroom was excellent, and while I’m not generally impressed by rainfall shower heads because the pressure is lacking, this was probably the best shower I’ve ever had. Super impressed."

"The facilities were beautiful, nicer than I expected. The artwork hanging on the walls was outstanding. It was beautiful to see the local art of Alex Janvier . The room was clean and very comfortable. The food next door at the casino was amazing. The young lady who checked us in at the front desk was fantastic as were most of the staff."

"Unfortunately, we made an error with our checkout time. On the back of the door it said 12:00 noon. I was traveling for business as a nurse and my daughter came with me for a couple of days. She stayed in the hotel room on our last morning as I went to see a client. The plan was for me to come back to get her by noon. She called me and told me I needed to come back immediately. She had received a call from the front desk, to which she explained our predicament, and then a staff member came up to the room to insist we vacate the room immediately. She explained the error again and even showed them the back of the door with the time stating noon. She was quite distressed over this and I had to leave my client early to come back and quickly pack and leave. It was very upsetting as she was treated as if we were intentionally trying to do something wrong. She found the staff member quite rude and aggressive in his approach. We did show a photo of the back of the door stating noon, to the front desk attendant. She was very polite and apologized. She also brought the photo back to show, I would assume, management. It was very disappointing that she was left to apologize and nobody from the management team came out to apologize. For this reason I'm not sure I would return which is unfortunate as I will be traveling to that area every 6 to 8 weeks. It left me feeling that they're not treating staff as well as they should, leaving these young girls to deal with these concerns. And of course, I was shocked at how they would treat patrons."

"Amy and Vanessa and the rest of the staff were amazing and very accommodating for my set up as an entertainer. they made it easy for me to set up as they changed aspects of the room to make my show the best it would be... and it was amazing!!! One of the best hotel teams i have had the pleasure of working with. Btw, as a person who has stayed in 1000's of hotels, they are among the best"
