"I loved the whole concept. Just to wake up in the morning with the view of the boats in Marina is perfect. The house is more like a apartment with a perfect uper deck, with Jacuzzi and the view. You can really organize your time as you like, be active or just take it easy. In the evening is perfect moment to relax and watch the stars from hot Jacuzzi tub. Everything is close by. The beach is not a perfect one but it’s close one and you can always easily go for the swim. The house has everything you need and the host Igor was helpful in organizing everything to run smoothly. Thank you for that. I will definitely come again."

There’s barely anything to fault, but the spot is a bit far from busy areas. It wasn’t a real issue for us, though, since we wanted a peaceful stay.

"Superb location to where were visiting - football stadium. Very comfortable in all areas with plenty of seating. Staff were great and friendly and gave a warm welcome. Nothing was too much problem. Breakfast was continental with a good choice."

Nothing - everything was great and as shown in pictures on web site. Would definitely stay here again.

"Vlora's coat is so beautiful! I was amazed by the blue waters and the diversity. This trip is totally worth it . I am so glad we decided to do it. Make sure to have something extra to wear thought because the sea breeze is no joke. Had a great time with the host who was so friendly. He brought us some delicious home made snacks as well. "I have just spent the most amazing 3 nights on the Grand Swan, one of 3 beautiful 5 Star Houseboats in this small group, located in a great position on Lake Dal. The rooms are very well presented and very comfortable. The food is freshly prepared and very tasty. The chef made sure the food was to my liking, and there was plenty of it, The staff went above and beyond to make sure i got the most out of my short stay. Mr Ahmed the manager arranged some trips for me including a not to be missed tour of the lake. A special thanks to Mr Shabam, who did everything from bringing me coffee in the morning to accompanying me on a magical trip to the mountains, where his local knowledge and friends made this a trip I will never forget and got to meet the local people. I can highly recommend staying here whether you are travelling by yourself, with friends or with family. I am already planning my return"

This is a new concept. A few teething issues to sort. Breakfast took a long time. They should also make you aware in advance about cruise timings as it means the boat is unaccessible. This is OK providing your planning an evening out somewhere anyway. Evening cruise from 8pm to 11pm in our case

"A 2 pas du centre historique de Douarnenez sur le port, charmand petit voilier où il fait bon séjourner ; ce n'est pas très grand (normal), mais c'est bien aménagé, et vous avez tout pour passer un bon séjour insolite."

Il peut faire un peu frais et humide (mais nous y étions en février ce qui est normal sur un bateau)

Para ducharte te dan una tarjeta y tienes que hacerlo en un edificio cerca del barco porque por motivos ecológicos. Es incómodo tener que salir del barco para ducharte pero las instalaciones están muy bien.

La cama de goma espuma muy incomoda. Sin embargo el sofa cama si era cómodo. Tampoco ayuda que hizo mucho calor. Hay aire acondicionado pero con 40 grados fuera le costaba enfriar.

"El formato del hotel me encantó, el hecho de ser un barco y estar en un lugar tan bonito merece mucho la pena. Buenas instalaciones con muy buenas vistas. Personal muy amable y atento, está bien ubicado, con los tranvias en 15 min estás en el centro, pasan varias lineas de tranvías. El hotel dispone de un amplio parking. Habitación cómoda y muy bonita. Si tuviera que poner un pero sería al desayuno, para mi gusto era correcto pero un poco justo."

"Our stay on the Yathra Houseboat will always stay in our minds and hearts. This is our second time within 3 years. We had a vacation of our life with all the comfort and pampering by the staff on the boat. The cruise on the river provided rare glimpse of few exotic birds and a large group of monkeys. The narrations by the Manager of the Dedduwa Boat House about those birds were very informative. The Skipper was kind enough to stop along the river bank to watch the birds closely and take photographs. The candle-lit dinner and the night spend on the upper deck was simply magical. The next day my husband even managed catch some fish while cruising. The staff arranged them to be prepared for our lunch and that dish was out of this world. The staff went an extra mile to make us happy. The bedrooms and the facilities on board were above standard. This is the best destination we spend while in Sri Lanka. Keep it up Yathra and we will back again next year."

"Tremenda sorpresa me llevé al ver tanta hermosura, es un yate muy hermoso, por dentro y por fuera, está en muy buenas condiciones, tiene unas salas al interior muy cómodas. El desayuno, estuvo bien. El camarote pequeño, pero suficientemente adecuado para que fuera cómodo."

En la ducha, fue un poco difícil encontrar el punto exacto al agua para bañarte, o te quemaba o te congelaba, tienes que ensayar mucho para encontrar el punto ideal

"Ideal overnight stop over for cycling in Flanders. Bart is a great host and the bar had many interesting beers. Breakfast in the morning was excellent."

The sleeping accommodation in the small boat was a bit cramped and in hot weather not very comfortable.
