El Edelweisshof está emplazado en la localidad pintoresca de Birnbaum, en el corazón del Valle Lesach, entre los Alpes Cárnicos y los Dolomitas de Lienz. Hay varias rutas de senderismo pintorescas que comienzan justo en la puerta del establecimiento. En los alrededores del Edelweisshof se puede practicar pesca, rafting, ciclismo de sierra, escalada, esquí y snowboard.

"Tiene una vista muy linda. La habitación tenía un balcón con mesita y sillas. El hotel cuenta con una terraza para almorzar y en el patio tiene juegos para niños. El comedor interior era muy lindo La atención Macks fue muy buena."
"La habitación no tenía aire acondicionado y tampoco tenía cooler, pero pudimos dejar un medicamento en el refrigerador del hotel sin problemas. En el comedor interior habían un par de moscas volando que eran poco molestas para nosotros. El hotel no tenía ascensor pero nuestro dormitorio estaba en la 2da planta asi que no fue problematico."

"We were in transit only one night. Is not a luxury hotel, but is a very good value for money option. It looks a bit outdated, but was clean, comfortable, the area is very nice, you have a picturesque view from room or balcony. Also we had included dinner and breakfast which was good. The owner really hospitable and nice."

"Cozy little town, quiet and pitoresk. Gasthaus Emmi is located central in the town, but still has a beautiful location with an open field behind. Great garden with swimmingpool, playground for kids, rabbits and hens. Breakfast very good, local products and fresh eggs. Clean rooms."
