"Great staff on reception - very friendly and helpful, especially since I was the only guest in the hotel during the low season. The room was at an excellent rate and was very comfortable, clean and had everything I needed. The reception staff got me a kettle when I asked and I slept well."

Construction works are going on in the area and at the hotel in winter. Theh hamman, spa and bar and restaurant are all closed in winter too - all understandable and no huge deal and there's plenty in the area open all the time.

Apartamento muy bonito y en buenas condiciones con balcón y vista al mar. Las ventanas y puertas cuentan con mallas para los mosquitos. Presión de agua en ña ducha muy buena y el agua caliente funcionaba muy bien. Aunque los fines de semanas por las noches hay mucho movimiento, al estar insonorizado el apartamento se puede descansar bien. Mi familia y yo disfrutamos mucho la estancia. Si se quiere varias, hay suficientes restaurantes y supermercados en las cercanías. Todos los electrodomésticos del apartamento: tele, nevera, horno, lavadora funcionaban muy bien. "Once inside the apartment, it is a different story: the apartment is spacious, well-designed, and clean. Also, the view of the surrounding area is magnificent - it does welcome one to Addis Ababa. The apartment caretaker, Selechi, is very resourceful and helpful in providing any needed information; he will go a distance to help guests order food and drinks. Kudos Selechi; keep up the good work."

The train rail track in front of the apartment hotel makes it difficult for taxi drivers to pick up or drop off a guest. The rail track extends to about 2 miles past the hotel; the Chinese contractors need to revisit that project.

"Location was fabulous, just down the road from the Presidential Palace although the road is a little unkempt. An easy walk into the town for restaurants and the main market centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great outside relaxing bar / restaurant."

Taxis do not like to drive to the Hotel as the road is not great and has some big ruts at the town end, leaving you with the choice of a short walk or paying more. It's about a 400 yard walk and not hard or dangerous.

Desayuno básico. No hay aire acondicionado.

Únicamente lo negativo fue que de madrugada llegaron huéspedes de la habitación de al lado a poner música y a beber, entonces no pudimos descansar bien. Podrian vigilar más.

La habitación algo pequeña para el precio y el baño no tenía división entre inodoro y ducha.

Fue solo cuando llegamos que el área de la cocina y sala olían como se alguien recién hubiera cocinado o freido algo... Fuera de ahí todo lo demás estuvo excelente, luego al día siguiente el olor no estaba.

"We arrived after 8.30 so there was no one at the desk. However, the instructions to enter were very clear, and we got to our room successfully. On entry, it was really cold and not enough blankets, so sleep was not good on the first night.We didn't know how to turn on the heating and the TV was not set up. There was no milk to make a beverage, so we had to try and find a shop for the simple supplies. We found a number to call on the following day, "which was Sunday," and a very helpful young man sorted out the problems. Overall, our stay was pleasant,and once the issues were sorted, and staff are very friendly and helpful."

The fact that there was no basics for arrivals at night.
