"The walls are paper thin. Sound carries from room to room and in lower rooms, you hear all the foot and floor movements and sounds upstairs. Padel facing rooms also a bit noisy with the noise from the padel courts"

"Can’t think of a better location of a hotel in Camps Bay! It stands literally in 20 steps from the beach. Amazing views on both sides- either sea or mountains. Wonderful breakfast, big rooms with balconies, attentive staff and walking distance to restaurants and shops. Loved it!"

"The Bay Hotel is a Camps Bay institution! From the last time I was at the hotel, c.20-yrs ago, it hasn't lost its charm or ambience. Granted, its not cheap compared other places but you 'gets what you pays for'. However given the level of service, in general, and recently refurbished rooms, it all comes down to personal preference as to if The Bay is, or isn't, for everyone's budget. We had an amazing outlook onto the sea and clear blue skies. Great to watch the surf / beach activities as the wind picked-up and dropped and not forgetting the sunsets! One day was particularly windy but as we know, to be expected, in the Western Cape but this doesn't stop the enjoyment and relaxation at the hotel."
"Not much really save a small amount of attention to detail when placing dinner / drinks orders which were quickly remedied and noted by the helpful manageress - I didn't get her name in full but she was able to deal with the small mishaps efficiently and without issue."
