Fenchihu Hotel

"Un hotel histórico situado en en la calle principal turística de Fenqihu, una zona bonita para hacer senderismo o dar paseos por la naturaleza, y donde hace parada el ferrocarril de Alishan. Las habitaciones, con madera, tienen encanto y son cómodas. Para el desayuno dan un cupón para el Seven Eleven que está justo al lado."

"We liked the free tours that were available at the hotel. The location was also very good, being right along the main street. The room was well equipped with a small soaking tub. And it was clean. The toilet looked like it had been recently updated."

"The doors and walls were rather thin, although that is understandable given the age of the hotel. The smell of the bamboo shoots from the bento boxes was quite strong in the hallway during dining hours."

"Smelly entryway (due to the bento boxes), could use some refurbishment. Also note that all restaurants in the village, even the one at the hotel, close at 6pm or 7pm, so there is not much to do"

"The location was superb, within 2minutes of the train station and also along the old street. It's is also the place for the famous bento box. Room was tatami style and had a wooden bathtub which was unique. There is no heating but the dehumidifier acts as a mini warm air blower."

"No doubt, that this is the best accommodation in the town. Well designed, unique, spacious room, and just perfect location in the middle of the old street. Free breakfast coupon, that you can use in the 7Eleven at next door."

"Excellent location. A stone throw away from train/bus stations, 7-11 and the local shops. The hotel serves a dinner menu that’s great value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful in facilitating our requests. Complimentary food vouchers for 7-11 and the local tea leaves are very thoughtful gifts. Room itself was very spacious and comfortable enough."

"The location - on the main street and 2-minute walk from the train station and the bus station. The Japanese style room was spacious and comfortable. The wooden bath tub was super nice. I also liked the tea area where you can enjoy your own tea/breakfast. It was also very quiet at night so that you can get proper rest. The rooftop terrace offered a great lookout on the city and mountains."

"You can tell the hotel is not new (but it is however clean and comfortable). The lighting. You have to take the key out to turn off the lights (and so, the electricity as well meaning you cannot charge your phone etc. at night)"
