"Loman Art House is just that - full of wonderful art. It’s really lovely! The upstairs roof terrace is wonderful, as well as the pool area. Really relaxing. And all the staff were welcoming and helpful. Loman herself went above and beyond to help with recommendations and booking bus tickets for us. If ever we’re back in Dakar we would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel is not only an hotel, it's a community with a lot of heart! It has an art gallery, a very good restaurant and an amazing rooftop bar with great concerts! If noise is an issue for you, this could be a slight problem (in case it's a really fun concert!) but noise usually stops at midnight. It was not a problem for us! The rooms were spacious and really pretty! The outside areas are a little oasis of peace and there are super gentle cats, dogs and two turtles! The staff speaks English and they are incredibly kind. Really cool place!"

"The swimming pool was not super clean but it is to be expected, as there are trees around! Not a big issue. If noise is a big issue for you, you may want to check if there are concerts planned. But we'd rather suggest join!"

"We chose this accommodation as it stood out as unique and away from the commercial centre and competitively priced .It appealed as the rooms were spacious and it was a mecca of art an added bonus It was over expansive three floors with roof terrace and swimming pool area It was more than we expected.The rooms were clean and well equipped not only with ceiling fan but air-conditioning as well.There was a shower and bath and hot water available at all times.It was a calm oasis. The proprietor whose own artwork is throughout has created a vibrant atmosphere It is a unique place on so many different levels The continental breakfast included in room stay as well available light lunch were superb"

"This is a friendly and relaxing place to stay in what is a very frenetic city. The rooms are large and well-appointed. And the public spaces pleasant and varied with a cafe area down stairs, a poor and comfortable seating in the shade, an upstairs terrace and, in the evenings, a rooftop bar. There are interesting artworks dotted all around the place. And the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay immensely. Les Mamelles area of town, where Loman Art is situated, is quite far from the port and museums in the centre, but close to beach venues and some of the music venues."

"There was very little not to like. My only complaint was that they only had small bottles of beer and didn't manage to get the larger bottles which are certainly preferable in the hot weather."
