"I loved absolutely everthing about this stay! The location, amenities, and comfort were outstanding, but nothing compared to the hospitality of the hosts. We had come from unexpected travel plans, and the hosts A & F were not only erudite, compassionate gentlemen; they were kind, caring, and generous with their time. "Clean, bright, well looked after. The hosts were superb. Breakfast was excellent in the main house. We walked the grounds 22 acres of hills, grass and great views. Super quiet with no outside noises."

"This property, including the apartment we stayed in was superbly kept, with modern facilities, beautiful views, comfortable and the hosts, Andrew and Francis were the most obliging people. Breakfasts were great and we could not wish for anyhing more. The hosts gave us an incredible amount of information about the local area and attractions. They could not have been more helpful. We think this is the best accommodaton we have ever stayed at in our five visits for holidays in New Zealand. We would definitely like to return."

We enjoyed having breakfast with the owners and having a good chat with them in their own house. Couldn't of been more happy with our choice to stay there. It was a lovely surprise when we arrived."

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
