El Grootberg Lodge se encuentra en el borde de la meseta de Etendeka. Ofrece cuartos construidas en piedra, con vistas panorámicas, y una piscina exterior al aire libre. Está gestionado por una organización que tiene como objetivo mejorar el bienestar local. La organización apoya proyectos de conservación en la región, muestra a las personas de la zona la importancia del turismo de vida salvaje y proporciona puestos de trabajo. Las nidos acogedores del Grootberg Lodge disponen de una terraza amueblada de madera con vistas panorámicas, además de techo de paja y ornamentación de estilo africano. El baño privado dispone de ducha con vistas a la meseta. Alberga un bar y un universo culinario de estilo rústico con muebles de madera y ventanas grandes con vistas a la meseta. Asimismo se preparan almuerzos para llevar. Se pueden organizar varias excursiones, como paseos por el entorno salvaje para observar elefantes y rinocerontes, visitas a la tribu Himba en su medio natural o bajar en coche al valle del río Klip, donde van los animales a beber. Igualmente se puede montar a caballo y practicar senderismo.

"The location is amazing. The view over the valley is a highlight of our trip. The way up to the property is a bit challenging, but was worth experiencing yourself. The staff was so friendly, they even gave a surprise singing performance. The food was a menu with local game, that was cooked straight on point. Compliments to the chef!
