The shared bathroom could use a renovation (very basic shower with a shower head up on the wall) and the windows in the room were old and should be changed for better isolation. Also, you absolutely need a car as it's a bit far from the bus stop.

"The service and food were fine. Room was spacious and clean. Beautiful and peaceful location. The kitchen catered for our specific preferences as my husband and son do not eat meat and chicken and my daughter doesn't eat octopus."

No shampoo available and i wasnt aware of same before booking else would have brought mine. Towels stayed wet and had to use same both for shower and pool. Amenities should be provided to allow for wet clothes and towels to dry, like a drying line in the bathroom.

"Lo mejor de este alojamiento son sus anfitriones; un matrimonio alemán encantador que se esfuerza para que te sientas como en casa. Cuidan cada detalle y eso es de valorar; agua mineral gratuita, adaptadores de enchufes en la habitación, limpieza de habitación y cuarto de baño cada día, fruta y café gratuitos en recepción, ... Los desayunos son muy ricos y variados en la terraza superior del edificio, que es pequñita pero muy agradable. El alojamiento es tranquilo, está muy limpio y en general tiene su propia personalidad estando cada habitación dedicada a un músico. La ubicación del alojamiento es muy buena, siendo la zona de aparcamiento libre alrededor del hotel, y quedando muy cerca de la parada del ferry a La Valeta. Nos gustó mucho esta ubicación para poder desplazarnos cada día desde aquí a las distintas partes de Malta."

El cuarto de baño es de uso privado pero está fuera de la habitación, algo que, aunque no es un problema, no resulta muy cómodo. Normalmente no hay problema para aparcar cerca del hotel, ya que todas las calles más cercanas son de zona blanca y puedes aparcar tu coche de alquiler libremente, pero a las horas puntas de la tarde (18-21h) encontrar aparcamiento puede costar un poco.

"All was lovely, the food was particularly good and a pleasant surprise after some of the restaurants we had eaten at on our trip. The cottage was great, the linen very good, the swimming pool a great asset."

We would have liked to have been given sandwiches with the tea at 4pm. Slight disappointment!

"It's located in a beautiful village with easy access by car and free parking around (if it's full, then park next to the church in front of the museum December 44). Besides , I was warmly welcomed by the owner himself and surprisingly, he was able to speak some Spanish, which was great. He showed me how to get to my apartment and explained everything about the dinner reservations at the hotel's restaurant and the next morning's breakfast times and place. Breakfast was really good and varied, you are free to pick up whatever you like (coffee, tea, juices, muesli, cereals, croissants, pain au chocolat, cheese, etc). Muchas gracias por todo y espero volver pronto. A la prochaine!"

"La ubicación en plena calle de las Brujas, a un paso del templo de san Francisco. El cuarto y el baño amplios y limpios. Ofrecen desayuno ligero incluido."

La base de la cama requiere mantenimiento para que no rechine. Hace falta un ventilador. Por las mañanas en el patio central hacen reuniones de trabajo de una agencia de viajes y se oye en las habitaciones.

"El trato familiar, la cercanía a los puntos de interés. Los dueños son encantadores y solícitos a las necesidades del clientes. Es un lugar tranquilo y el desayuno inmejorable ."

No recomiendo la habitación familiar. Está encajonada junto a otro edificio y lo único que ves por la ventana es una pared. Una pena en el sitio en el que estábamos. Además el baño está abajo y las habitaciones arriba con lo que no es muy cómodo. No está muy bien insonorizada , oíamos los movimientos del piso de arriba. Tampoco recomiendo cenar allí. La comida es cara y no es gran cosa.

Photos of the room while booking was different from the room which we got, so were a bit upset about it.

"This is a small hotel in a superb location with colourful gardens and excellent views. The friendly and hard working staff were extremely helpful, and the owner Primus met us at the airport and drove us to the hotel, for a pre-arranged fee. This made our arrival so much easier and stress free. He also arranged car rental for us which was excellent value. There's a nice lounging area overlooking the bay, good for watching sunsets, and a refreshing pool. Home cooked food available lunch and dinner, as well as breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed a most memorable and relaxing stay."
