Hydrangea House

"La casa es grande , espaciosa , cómoda y tranquila. 3 dormitorios grandes. Cocina grande que le falta algún utensilio sin importancia. Tenía todo lo necesario como cafetera, café, te, sal, pimienta, azúcar, pastillas lavavajillas y jabón lavadora. Jabón lavaplatos y estropajos etc. La calefacción funciona bien,pero cuando llegamos era temprano y tardo en coger calor. Las camas grandes y cómodas. Muchas toallas y jabón de ducha. Tv con prime vídeo ( vimos un par de películas). Perfecto para una familia o para 5/6 amigos . El sitio tranquilo y silencioso. La dueña Fiona responde en pocos minutos. Ah! El agua no es potable , aunque no lo pone y si es apta para lavar dientes o hacer té."

"Solo tiene un baño para toda la casa. La ubicación está un poco difícil de encontrar. No hay ninguna señal que indique el alojamiento;y aunque se encuentra relativamente fácil la carretera está complicada."

"Things needed touching up. Asked about the fireplace but was made to feel like we shouldn’t use it. Lights made loud humming sounds and central heating banged all night. No lids on the bins so they ended up smelling. My son wanted to use the PlayStation but the leads weren’t there. Main issue was the water. There was hardly any hot water and it was a brown rusty colour. My daughter wanted a bath but after about 2 mins and 2inches of water the taps ran cold. And even after running it through the water was still brown and left residue behind?? It didn’t feel clean at all. We all had to choose who showered each day in rusty water as hot water wouldn’t last. We chose not to use the central heating due to the noise it made in the radiators keeping everyone up at night and used the fireplace instead. All crammed into the front room keeping warm. My daughter was freezing most of the time and slept in clothes. I did contact the owner who stated she would get a plumber out if needed but it seemed pointless to be honest as we only had a few days and don’t want to wait in for a plumber to come. Also had someone turn up 15 mins before our departure time to clean and made us feel like we were being booted out."

"The garden was lovely and the indoor space was a good size. It was a good location and the beds were really comfy."

"The location meant we were a few miles drive to Kinsale and some lovely beaches and other local attractions. So it was a good base."

"The living area felt dated and furniture felt second hand. There was a lovely patio but the outdoor furniture was in poor condition. For the price I would expect a higher standard."

"It was clear the bed linen was fresh but still a smell in the bedrooms. Bathroom clean also."

"Very difficult to find could have some signage on the driveway with house name. No bag in kitchen bin. Nothing left out for cleaning the kitchen. Microwave needs updating. Property itself could do with some TLC."

"Lovely location near to Kinsale and surrounding coastline. Rooms were good sizes and garden lawns were spacious for the dog."

"The house was very tired and needs decorating and updating. The photographs make it look much nicer. Lots of dirty marks and scuffs on doors, walls, windows, furniture etc. Towels were very thin and old. Hot water in the shower did not last for one shower. Hot again next day but again did not last long. Kitchen units were very scruffy. The table was not cleaned properly. Garden and patio area and furniture were very scruffy. We were looking for a welcome/instructions booklet for the property, especially for the hot water but there was nothing."

"Fabulous spacious house in an excellent location. Very short drive to Kinsale. Also not too far away for exploring Clonakilty. Huge garden for children to play and run around in. Beds were super comfy. The house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again! Thanks for having us!"
