"Chez Fabien on n'a pas l'impression d'être des locataires, mais des amis accueillis à bas ouverts. Fabien veille à tout, à la propreté, au bien être. Il conseille sur les promenades à faire, sur les choses à faire et à voir."

Tout était vraiment parfait. Si nous devons repartir en Guyane nous savons où aller.

"Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Karl et Wanda. Ce sont des personnes accueillantes, généreuses et authentiques, toujours prêtes à partager leur culture, les lieux à découvrir et la gastronomie locale. "Estuvimos muy a gusto en la casa. Es una familia agradable y tranquila. Nos dieron te de recibimiento y un zumo (el mejor que he tomado desde que estoy aquí) por la mañana antes de irnos! Tienen agua caliente y la habitación tiene dos amplias camas, una de ellas con mosquitera, aunque no vimos apenas mosquitos. El ventilador hace un poco de ruido y un AC que la verdad no pusimos porque la temperatura era agradable. Cerca de la casa hay una cascada que visitamos (Ellewalla) que mereció mucho la pena. El trayecto es precioso, un embalse con árboles hundidos y después de un paseito llegas a la cascada, donde no había nadie."

Creo que tiene muy buena calidad/precio.

Dumbea sur Mer is basically a boring suburb of McMansion houses and a shopping mall.

"Hosts were super friendly, very helpful and kind. Silvio gave me a ride back to airport when I arrived and needed to pick up my partner (we traveled separately there). The house and the room were nice and clean, huge fridge and well equipped kitchen for the guests to use. Netflix with guest account in the room was a nice extra. Big terrace with sunbeds. The location itself was lovely, locals were friendly and helpful as well. Airport is very close, 40 mins walk or 6 mins with the car."

I know it's not the hosts fault, because there was an issue with the pool due the construction works in the neighborhood the time we're staying there and we couldn't use it. Would have been nice, because the pool itself is pretty big.

The only minor downsides were that the jacuzzi water wasn’t hot during our stay, and there were quite a number of bugs at night, so it was a bit difficult to sit outside for long. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience and we really enjoyed our time there.

The only thing that slightly annoyed me on arrival was that there wasn’t an electrical socket right next to the bed, even though it did say that on the booking site. But that’s a small thing.

Staying in a whole house was great! The location allowed me to spend very quiet and comfortable nights. It was conveniently situated close to the coastal road and within easy walking distance. "Beautiful house and garden. Lot of trees. Nice pool. Room was comfortable. Back up generator for powercuts was great. Quiet area, close to the sea. Nice owner."

When arrive, bed sheets were used. We needed to change them ourselves. No cleaning servise. The mainhouse kitchen was only allowed for small cooking like eggs. If wanted to cook food, needed to go outside kitchen. There was no fan or pots, all needed to take there from main kitchen. Very unconvinient and hot to cook there. We were accused from staff and other customer stealing her mobile. Phone was found in her room where she had put it under her blanket. That really upset us. Owners were nice thou and apologize us.

"Felex, Asinja and the kids were so welcoming! They cook delicious food with local produce. Felex is always up for a chat and coordinating a wonderful community project in the village. It’s a simple room but basic amenities, but a truly unique experience."
