"La amabilidad de la propietaria, la limpieza y la intimidad ya que a pesar de ser una casa particular, la propietaria te deja una llave para que tengas libertad en horario, la habitación está en una planta independiente con salón y baño y aunque el desayuno lo sirve en el salón de la propietaria, es una persona muy discreta y detallista, la casa dispone de un bonito y cuidado jardín con una zona para picnic Ha sido mi primera experiencia en un BB y ha superado mis espectativa. ."

"Lovely home. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds. Lovely bed linen. Very good shower, in a lovely bathroom. Host, Yvette, very welcoming. Beautifully set breakfast table.....a great variety of homemade jams with fresh bread rolls and croissants. Lovely ambience. Also beautiful garden."

"The lovely gardens. We sat in the cabana and had wine and hors d’oeuvres prior to having our dinner (brought with us). Everything was so clean and immaculate and Yvette was so charming and ensured our stay was everything that we wanted. A delightful lady 😃"

"The accommodation was close to the centre of Valencay. The room was very comfortable. Yvette was very helpful and served an excellent breakfast with homemade preserves."

"excellent from start to finish - we were able to check in at 3.30 instead of 5pm.. Madame Yvette was very accommodating on all points of our stay. She explained clearly about the property, beautiful garden and accommodation. Secure parking which was very reassuring. Very comfortable spacious room and excellent en suite shower and facilities. Views were marvellous from our upstairs bedroom window, beds comfortable, excellent coffee at breakfast with home made jam for the bread and croissants. Madame Yvette was charming, gracious, and kind. The house is immaculate in every way. A short walk from the main street and chateau in Valencay. We highly recommend a stay at Les Charmes."

"Charming hostess who served a fabulous breakfast with lovely home made jams etc. Parking excellent. Good location. The two bedrooms sleeping 4 are a very good size and there is a little sitting area on the landing with 2 small arm chairs. As food may not be consumed in rooms, the hostess provides a very well appointed garden summer house with fridge microwave kettle and crockery etc to eat in. The night sky is amazing. The hostess is very covid conscious so very good for a vulnerable person to stay."

"The charm of the accommodation is rather like staying with your grandmother in 1970's. It's quirky. My single bed squeaked when I moved which was a bit irritating. The hostess requests shoes be removed but the wooden staircase up to the rooms is v slippery without shoes."

"A lovely home with a beautiful garden. We only stayed one night, but I can imagine it would be very pleasant to spend evenings in the garden. Host was lovely, very friendly and helpful. The decor is a little old-fashioned, but the room was comfortable and large, as was the bathroom. All very clean, plus lots of extra toiletries provided if needed. Breakfast was very tasty, particularly enjoyed the large selection of home-made jams."
