The 125-year-old Parador Gletschergarten with its magnificent mountain and glacier view is conserjeríaly run by the 4th and 5th generations with a lot of commitment. All rooms have a newly renovated shower WC or bath WC, TV, WIFI, safe and balcony. Breakfast is included in the room rate, in the evening a fine 4-course menu is served on request. The Alojamiento Gletschergarten is ideally located at the end of the village near the church and the local history museum, the bus stop is right next to the lugar de alojamiento. All mountain railways can be reached comfortably and in no time with the free local bus. For a fee, guests can be picked up from Grindelwald railway station. In winter the cosy lounge with open fire place invites you to linger. Coin laundry in the house. Reduced admission to the Grindelwald sports centre. Ticket and ski pass sales at the reception. There are a small wellness area with sauna and steam bath available.

"Hotel de montaña perfecto para vacacionar y conocer la zona alrededor y puntos turísticos. Se puede hacer senderismo y ciclismo en las cercanías. Me ha gustado la decoración típica del hotel. Mi habitación era pequeña, con baño reformado impecable, sábanas y edredón muy limpias. Además tenía un balcón que le daba un toque especial con vista panorámica a las montañas y con posibilidad de beber un café o infusión fuera. El secador de cabello de una calidad excelente. Los desayunos variados y deliciosos. Me han facilitado poder cargar el coche eléctrico y tener a mi perrita al lado de mi mesa en el suelo mientras yo desayunaba. La amabilidad de los propietarios y su disponibilidad para orientar a los turistas. Volveré seguro! Lo recomiendo!"

"The room was exceptional and the staff were so warm and accommodating! Fabulous location at the quieter end of town which was so peaceful but everything was still incredibly accessible (we were only a 5 minute walk to the First cable car). We wish we had booked a longer stay!"

"The outside of the hotel is actually even more beautiful than in the picture! The room was nice, clean, and the bed was comfy. The staff was kind and helpful with our requests. Our favourite thing was the AMAZING view of the glacier from our (shared) terrace!"
